| Description: | PINK FLOYD Pink Floyd wander around corn fields to the accompaniment of their song 'The Scarecrow'. At an unidentified countryside location we see various shots of members of pop group Pink Floyd wandering through cornfields, looking at scarecrows and swapping hats with them, while a song from their latest LP plays on the soundtrack (they do not mime). The band members seen are Nick Mason, Roger Waters, Syd Barrett and Richard Wright. Surreal promotional film for Pink Floyd song "The Scarecrow" from their first LP "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn". The song is played on soundtrack while we see various shots of band members Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters & Richard Wright wandering through cornfields in the Suffolk countryside. They look at scarecrows and swap hats with them, lie on the grass, sit in trees, pick up a scarecrow from a field carry it off and stick it in the middle of a swampy pond before a row of village houses. Nick Mason and Roger Waters act out a bizarre slow-motion shoot-out: Roger 'shoots' Nick in the hand, Nick reacts and manages to 'shoot' Roger who falls down 'dead'. What crazy, wacky psychedelic kids they were! | |
