More than a hundred in the house were menaced by flaming gasoline and flying wreckage. Aftermath. A private twin engine plane attempting a landing at a New York Airport in the murk of dust crashed into a 800 ft. television tower. a short distance from the Hudson River. A section of the wing can be seen jammed against a section of the tower. Following the crash the plane jar ratted seven blocks and smashed into an apartment house sheltering more than 100 persons.
