Shots of the United States Navy's Akron airship (zeppelin) in flight through fog. Shots of the smaller Navy non-rigid airship J-3 taking off. (Voiceover continues as pictures cut out - J3 was flying off to search for survivors from the Akron when it too crashed). Shots of survivors being brought ashore. Interview with officer - one of the three survivors of the Akron accident. The Akron was lost in a storm just off Atlantic City, New Jersey shortly after midnight on April 4th, 1933.
