| Description: | ON PREVIEW CASSETTE 98043 This story pertains to the rising amounts of pollution that is finding its way to shores of Ohio's recreational beaches. The segment begins with CU of a wood sign that reads "Huntington Reservation- Cleveland Metropolitan Park District". This public beach is located on the shore of Lake Erie. Shot of reporter on the beach interviewing a shirtless beachgoer. When the man is asked about the pollution, he responds by saying that the water is moving around enough to avoid the threat. Next, the reporter questions a man who is coming out of the water with a black rubber inner tube around his waist. The man states that he thinks the water is safe right now, but he would like to see it cleaner. Next, a woman who looks like she has been in the sun for way too long is asked about the pollution. She responds by saying that you can't chase her away from the beach. Shot of a teenage girl in a bikini sitting on the beach talking to a teenage boy. They are flirty. The girl realizes that she is being filmed and turns around laughing and waving at the camera. Finally the reporter interviews an elderly gentlman who he refers to as Mr. George. He comments that the state has not informed anyone that the beaches are polluted. If this should happen to change, the beach will be closed. Shot of beach goers playing in the shallow water near the shore. There are kids, bikinis, goofy hats and people in jeans. | |
