This garden party at Les Ambassadeurs Club, Mayfair, is organised as the part of a film publicity stunt for the film 'Prince and the Showgirl'. Even if there are not many princes around, this seems to be a fine gathering. M/S of a girl wearing fur coat as she talks to, yet another, middle aged man. Several shots of people mingling. Lord Foley "known in society as the Prince of the keyboard" is seen talking to a young woman. M/S of a man sitting at the table with a girl at each side - finally a real prince! Prince John Paul Sapieha is sitting between Jean Kent and Yolande Donlan. There is another man sitting next to them. C/U panning shot shows their faces one by one. Prince and one of the girls are smoking. Several L/S of the garden filled with people. It seems that most of the girls are wearing too much make up and most men are too old for those girls. Club members have obviously used the film as an excuse to have a party with lots of lovely young ladies attending and knowing that there are not many princes around... | |
