He picks up a can of hairspray and sprays her hair. C/U of Raymond as he sprays. L/S of the ornate staircase of the Cafe de Paris in London. Raymond descends the stairs. Excited women sit at the bottom of the stairs in their best frocks and hats - they have come for the "Shangri-La Hair Show" which will present Raymond's latest hairstyles. C/U of one of the models dressed in the colour of the season - Apricot - with hair to match. Raymond points at her hair, and at the hair of the model sitting beside her. He seems to be describing the styles (no sync sound). This is Raymond's new Shangri-La style. High angle shot of the dance floor of the Cafe de Paris. Two strangely dressed page boys (or girls) walk onto the floor pulling behind them a cart which is shaped like a cup or bath. Sitting inside it surrounded by balloons (representing bubble bath?) is a model with Shangri-La do. The cart is turned to present the style. Various shots of the audience, a dancer, Raymond and more of the strange carts. The second cart is decorated with flowers and looks like an oversized basket. - perhaps it is Easter? It is all rather bizarre. Another model represents a bride. Raymond pins a bridal veil to the back of her head. Ends with a C/U of the model. Narrator informs us that the inspiration for Raymond's new hairstyle came to him after he was knocked out in a skiing accident! | |
