A fire crew jumps off fire engine. Two firemen use a standpipe to tap into a water main and then attach a hose. Two firemen run forward with their hoses. People are gathered to watch the men compete in an event for London Fire Brigade's by London County Council. Three firemen line up with their hoses. They are attempting to knock over targets with water. The three targets fall down. The pump on one of the fire trucks is turned off. The firemen then proceed to unhook their hoses and roll them up. All the gear is being stowed in its proper place. The firemen then leap back on their fire engine. One of them blows a whistle when they are all in place. A representative of the LCC presents a member of the Redcross Street 'B Team' with their trophy. A fire officer calls for 'Three cheers for the chairman of the fire brigade committee". The firemen raise their helmets as they "hip-hip-hooray". | |
