| Description: | REINDEER LAND Various scenes from snow-covered Lapland - officially in northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and a corner of Russia. Various Lapland scenes - sleighs, reindeers, Christmas trees, hunting etc. Lapland Horse-drawn sleigh, carrying driver only, approaching on very snowy road, passing tall trees; houses in BG. Pine trees, snow falling. Wider shot of pine forest with heavy snow on branches. LS reindeer herd lying in snow. Large clearing, with reindeer running around in FG; behind them a teepee like structure - straight branches in conical shape, cover wrapped around about half of it and a few people walking about. Man and boy (father and son?) riding on a sled pulled by a wild reindeer; as it runs off the track they get dumped. LS 2 reindeer, each pulling a sled with one rider bouncy ride. Reindeer with antlers pulling man on sled - this reindeer seems more sedate. MLS reindeer & sled passing to left. MLS Laplander man and woman, dressed in heavy coats and hats, approach on skis w/ dog running along. The man stops and shoots rifle at upward angle, then the couple continue. | |
