| Description: | Reno Ripped by Violent Gas Blasts. Two die, 55 are injured as a series of explosions from a leaking gas main rock a four-block area in Reno, Nev. Fires in the wake of the blasts consume an entire section of the town, as units from all parts of the state are rushed in to fight the flames. Firefighters spray hoses at burning building. Smoldering ruins, collapsed walls and twisted metal wreckage. Rescue workers attempt to pull a body (?) from beneath an upended car. A high-heeled shoe lies on the ground, and I hope that's not part of the woman's leg still in it. Workers start to dig through the rubble. Horrible tragedy. | |
