M/S thief leaning up against fence, he walks towards parked lorry and starts to pick the lock. C/U from inside the truck as the roller door is raised and the alarm goes off. M/S as the man turns and runs from the lorry. M/S of another lorry being parked, the driver gets out and locks the door. He walks away, dissolve to show another man walking towards it. C/U lorry's wheel. M/S as the thief drives the lorry away, camera dissolves to show men transferring the load to another lorry. M/S's van at farm being loaded with apples. Farmer Mr L. Clarke checks as they are loaded. M/S thief closing van doors he walks over and signs for the apples being careful to hide his face. M/S transport cafe 'Busy Bee' at night. C/U lorry driver getting out and locking door. L/S looking into cafe, interior as they buy food and put money in juke box. CU record spinning in juke box. M/S people sitting down to eat. M/S driver with his cup of tea. Various shots as the thief gets in the lorry and drives away. M/S as lorry pulls up between two cars. M/S driver reading his paper. One thief comes up to ask for a 'light'. M/S of another man getting out of the car, cut to thief driving off in lorry. M/S injured driver laying on roadside a man comes to his aid. C/U of him dialing the police and speaking into the rotary phone. L/S information room at Scotland Yard (dispatch room). Various shots as details of assault are sent along conveyor belt, a policeman hands them to another who radios nearest car to scene. M/S police in car receiving details on radio and driving off.
