| Description: | Rodeo Sparks Pioneer Days Named after a famous Indian warrior, Chief Joseph, this little pioneer town stages a colorful Chief Joseph days celebration. Film stars Walter Brennan and Chill Wills, on hand for the Oregon Premier of 'Curtain Call at Cactus Creek,' join in the festivities culminating with a bang-up wild west rodeo. There's a big parade going down the streets of Joseph. Some of the band members are dressed as clowns. The Indian Chiefs ride on their beautiful steeds. Here come the cowgirls on their horses. The parade passes the marquee of the Rainbow Theater. A CU of the Curtain Call At Cactus Creek on the marquee. From left to right: Will Rogers, C. Wills and Walter Brennan pose for a picture. Throngs of people are cueing up to be served at a BBQ by Walter Brennan. MS of steaks on the BBQ grill, yum, yum eat em up. Now we're at the rodeo and the cowboys, cowgirls and Indians are on their horses riding in the center of the ring. Now the cowboys are on bucking broncos and bulls. | |
