Highlights of her first 2 days are welcoming ceremonies at the airport, and observances at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. Queen Elizabeth II arrives in Ottawa on her second visit in six years, her first since ascending the thrown. After a non stop flight from London, Governor General Massey and Prime Minister Diefenbaker welcome the Queen to her North American realm. On review at the airport a hand picked honor guard of the RCAF who practice standing in-movable for weeks for this 10 minute inspection. Establishing shot - Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip disembarking from a plane. MOHS - Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip review the RCAF. MS - Throngs of Canadians line the streets cheering and waving British flags. MS - The Royal Procession leaves the airport. MS - Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip arriving at the Canadian War Memorial and placing a wreath to honor the dead and wounded.
