Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire.

M/S of a room full of armour, swords and shields. There is a full suit of armour on the left and Mr Francis Buckeridge aged 36 is stood at a table working on an old fashioned pistol, a 17th Century Side Arm. His son Peter aged 10 is sat at the table watching him. Francis puts the gun down and Peter stirs the rubber in a pot. Francis picks up a mould and pours in the liquid rubber from the pot. C/U of him pouring the rubber from a small jug into the mould. C/U of Francis's face and C/U of him swirling the rubber around in the mould. M/S of Peter examining a glove from a suit of armour and looking at a book about armour on the desk. M/S of Francis at the table with a plaster mould of the Side Arm, he takes the string from around the mould and takes one half away to reveal the rubber pistol, the mould is designed so that the pistol is hollow. He takes the gun out of the mould and examines it. C/U of the finished pistol, he trims off the rough edges. C/U of his face as he examines the pistol. M/S of Peter and his friend, Roger Newnham. Roger is wearing a Roman Centurion's helmet and a medieval breastplate and he is playing with a 13th Century flail which is a spiky ball on the end of a chain. M/S of Peter and Roger moving to another area of the room where Peter hands Roger a golden jewelled goblet which he pretends to drink out of. Peter picks up a gold helmet, C/U of the helmet, Roger runs his fingers along it. C/U of Peter's face looking to his right. Shots of various banners including one which says S.P.Q.R. which is the Latin abbreviation for 'ignorant peasant'. C/U of a brush dipped in a pot of black paint. C/U of Francis's hand painting the pistol. M/S of Peter sat at the desk looking at the book on armour, he looks over towards his father. C/U of the gun being painted. L/S of Francis sat at the desk painting the gun, the suit of armour is to his right and there are various weapons on the wall behind it. He holds the gun up as if to fire it then puts it down on the table. C/U of 3 different pistols on the table. L/S of Francis fitting a head to a model of a 13th Century knight, one third of the full scale, this is made to be a collector's item. M/S of him fitting the head. C/U of Francis applying make-up from a stick to the knight's head, C/U of him putting the feathered helmet over the head. The camera pans down the figure showing its costume and sword. M/S of Peter playing with a piece of rubber armour and L/S of Francis examining the full suit of armour in his workshop. C/U of his hand opening the visor on the helmet. The narrator tells us the helmet and visor are made of fibreglass. The camera pans down the suit to a C/U of the gloved hand. The armour is usually used by amateur dramatics societies for props.
