"This is a tale of how the women of the Amazon bleed the trees and harvest the valuable latex sap - " LS woman wearing long skirt walks from tree to tree in the forest; in this shot one can't see just what she's doing. She walks toward camera, stops and seems to be scraping or cutting on tree trunk. CU she adds another V-shaped gash to many already on tree trunk, then hooks a small primitive looking cup onto it. MCU the woman pours white liquid from the cup into a round container like a gourd. "By the alchemy of smoke and patience, the sap is cooked into raw rubber." MLS the woman sits on a box beside a small stove pouring out smoke, turning a spit and pouring the sap over a melon-shaped ball on the spit - probably all sap that has hardened into rubber; as she works a white dog runs around beside her watching intently and wagging its tail.
