London First a guy holding a long pole jumps up and down on a tightrope; a bunch of other guys below cheer. CU the jumper. Some of the Russians sitting; several men and one pretty girl. Guy lying down on the tightrope; then moving his legs in different positions; with heads of guys underneath. Next; an exuberant dance number; with a stage full of guys all with big fur hats; and Cossack outfits; tumblers in polka dots and harlequin patterns; jumping and tumbling about; leaping over each other. Shot of musicians; a couple accordion players; a clarinet; etc. Next number: a bunch of ladies in fancy lacy costumes with big skirts and another lady supposed to be Queen or something comes in past them. They rise after she passes. Shot of bottom of her skirt; pan up. Women moving slowly; all turn together; stand in a row. Suddenly male dancers come jumping over the women! Cool. | |
