| Description: | From Handfort Petumeium Works a look at the latest fashions for atomic technicians working in hot areas. This room is contaminated with radio active dust and this plastic gargoyle suit is a new type safety suit with a long tail which allows the technicians to enter from the out side. The suit is kept inflated by a slightly higher air pressure than the hot room . He wears a face mask to insure fresh air supply. This is a great improvement over earlier safe coveralls, bulky, cumbersome and likely to accumulate contaminated dust. A transparent face piece gives clear vision shielded by the hot partials by the plastic skin and the technician can do his job in reasonable comfort. CUS - The lab technician putting on a face mask. CUS - In the hot room laying on the floor is this long clear plastic tunnel and at the end it is made to house a man's body. MCUS - Technician crawling into this clear plastic tube and coming to the end of it where it's shaped like his body. CUS - The technician in the clear body plastic suit and he's handling radioactive jars and placing them in a box. | |
