	Description:	SCHOOL FILM UNIT A story about a school in Essex which produces its own films as part of the curriculum. Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex. L/S as a group of adults and children walk down a beach with various pieces of filming equipment, they put them down on the sand and start to unpack. M/S of two boys stood on the seashore setting up a camera on a tripod, one of the boys looks through the camera. M/S of a boy sat down in front of a big tape recorder, he is listening through headphones, a teacher comes over to check what he is doing. Three girls are sat next to him looking at a clipboard, C/U of the girls. The narrator explains that filming is part of the curriculum at the local secondary school. Interior. A group of children are sat round desks in a classroom and the teacher is talking to them. C/U of a blonde boy looking through some papers, he hands one to a girl, M/S as she takes it and smiles. She says something and hands it to the teacher. M/S as the teacher collects more paper from another pupil. L/S of a woodwork lesson where the pupils are working on props, M/S as a boy hands a wooden box to the teacher. M/S of the teacher showing the plans for the box to two boys, the camera pans up to the boys and teacher and back down to the paper. C/U of a boy screwing the lid on the box, he then closes it, the teacher examines the box. L/S of a needlework lesson with girls sat at tables sewing costumes. M/S of the teacher adjusting the sleeve of one costume. C/U of the teacher instructing another girl. C/U of the dress which is yellow and green striped with a red tassel down the front. L/S of a teacher walking amongst his class who are all busy drawing. M/S as he bends down to look at one boys work. M/S of children sat round desks drawing. M/S of a boy picking up paper from a desk, there is some scenery behind it. Various shots of drawings being photographed in preparation for animation. L/S on the beach again with the teacher, Mr L.F.
