| Description: | SCHOOLBOY MURAL ARTISTS Schoolboys work on murals to decorate the walls of their school in Wimbledon. Queen's County Secondary School, Wimbledon, London. M/S of three boys mixing paints in a schoolroom; pan left to show two other boys at work on a large mural of fishermen at work. One of the boys is sketching a boat from the original design on an easel beside him. C/U of the other boy painting on a section of the mural. M/S of the paint mixing boys; C/U of one who is mixing red paint on a palette. Commentator tells us they mix their own oil paints by grinding school chalk paints in oil and turps. This boy then takes some more paint over to one of the boys at work on the mural and adds it to his palette. M/S of the art teacher, Mr Somers-Yeates, and Mr Hughes, the headmaster of the school, standing before a large mural the boys created earlier. Very impressive; it shows a medieval court scene. The two men discuss the painting. M/S of paints being mixed; tilt up to show a boy painting a section of the fishing scene. | |
