Ayrshire farm of Mossgiel. Bridges. Dairy cows. Horse riding. The ramblers ask if they can watch the milking. Farmer with broad Scottish accent. The youngsters go into the milking shed. Shots of cows and mechanical milking machine. One cow is hand milked. Girl drinks a glass of milk. Young man runs after truck containing milk churns and jumps on back. Churns arrive at the depot. A sample is tested. Testing equipment. Milk is cooled over pipes of ice cold water. The bottling machine is seen. Bottle of milk is taken off a dresser. Family sitting down to breakfast. Glasses of milk are poured. Children drink milk and a saucer of milk is given to dog. Our young adventurers stop at the Milk Bar at the station. They look at the milkshake menu.
