Various shots tribal chieftains arriving at airport, many walk under huge umbrellas. L/S President Kwame Nkrumah and his wife arriving at airport, they stand on tarmac with other VIPs. L/S royal Boeing 707 taxiing. C/U men drumming. Two Ghanaian policemen roll out red carpet. Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) are greeted by the President. The Queen and the Duke walk across the tarmac and are introduced to chieftains and officials. L/S royal car leaving airfield. Tracking shot royal car passing under Freedom Arch. The royal car drives through crowd lined streets. Car arrives at Black Star Square Parade Ground. Various shots Queen standing in open car inspecting soldiers and policemen on parade. Various shots march past by massed bands, cavalry and foot soldiers, Queen and Duke watch from dais. Various shots teams of men rolling long rowing boats down beach into surf of sea. Queen, Duke and President watch from pavilion further up the beach. When the boats are pushed out into the waves, the men load sacks onto boats, jump on board and row out to sea. We then see the boats rowing back to the shore. Panning shot sign "Makola Market". Various shots Queen, Duke and President walking through food market, some of the stall holders dance and sing for the Queen. Panning shot as royal car drives away from the market.
