Description:SHIP FASHIONS Beautiful fashions modelled on board SS Oriana in Southampton Docks

M/S of blonde Mandy Morrison walking towards us by the side of a swimming pool on the SS Oriana; she wears a swimsuit in white with a blue flower print; it has a halter-neck and a little skirt which she takes off as she turns round. C/U of the fabric of the swimming costume (blue carnations); tilt up to show Mandy's amazing makeup! M/Ss of the bows and stern of the Oriana in dock at Southampton. M/Ss of Margo Smyley with the Chief Officer; it looks rather wet and cold as Margo hangs onto her white hat. She wears a brown silk dress and matching coat, accessorised with white beads and gloves; C/U of the belt round her waist, made of leather with small fringes at the ends. Commentator tells us the models are looking over the ship between calls in a fashion show on board displaying the latest nautical styles and fabrics. M/S in the sun lounge as we see brunette Brenda Harpar walk into shot wearing an amazing evening gown called 'Queen of the Sea'; her hair is piled high on her head, with a tiara-style decoration on top of her beehive; the gown has double spaghetti straps and she wears long white gloves and high-heeled golden shoes. She turns to show us the back of the gown which has a ruched overskirt effect, and holds out the edges of this section - the main gown is close-fitting - divine! C/U tilting from her shoes to her head, showing the blue-green print of the fabric in detail. M/S of Nyda Machin wearing a slash neck sleeveless evening gown in a print of pink harlequin diamonds; she turns to look out over the rail of the ship; the dress is cut to the waist at the back and has a gathered skirt. M/S and C/U of Brenda with Captain Riddesldell (sp? Riddlesdell?) on deck as she looks through a telescope. Brenda wears a white cotton shirt with lace flounces at the sleeves and headscarf, plus close-fitting blue and black printed trousers (slacks, capri pants), and flat gold pumps. M/S of Officer Trevor Watson using a sextant on deck; Rosalie Watkins enters shot in a wonderfully high white plaited plastic flower pot hat and brown and white striped dress with a low waist and gathered skirt. Trevor seems to be explaining the sextant to her; C/U of her face and hat; M/S as they both walk toward the side rail; Trevor uses the sextant and Rosalie takes up a pose at the rail. M/S of a photographer taking a photo. C/U of Mandy in a lovely wide-brimmed brown straw hat; tilt down to show her olive green coat over a green printed sleeveless dress with rose motif; the coat is lined in the same fabric and she wears short brown gloves. C/U of the photographer looking through his camera and giving directions. M/S of deck boy, Ginger Masters, cleaning a bench on deck. Nyda Machin enters shot in a yellow sleeveless top with striped pedal-pushers and matching scarf. She kneels on the opposite side of the bench and Ginger looks over to check out the outfit. Nyda takes some sunglasses out of the deep cuff of her pedal-pushers and puts them on; Ginger nods his approval.
