Mulberry trees are grown for silk worms who feed on the leaves. Good CU studies of silk worms in all aspects. Silk worms eating leaves. Someone's hand picking up silk worms, and putting them on wicker racks to spin cocoons. CUs of worm spinning cocoon. Man's hands taking cocoons off the rack. Big pile of cocoons. Man cuts open a cocoon and shows the worm inside now in a different stage as a chrysallis. CUs of silk moth breaking out of cocoon. CUs male and female moths. MCU worker picking moths off lots of cocoons. MS workers sit on ground sorting moths on cloth covered flat racks. Male and female are put together; CU moths mating. Moth with eggs. Shots of workers putting eggs in flat boxes covered with netting. Small crowd of local people come to the plantation to get boxes of eggs to take home and care for. They later bring back cocoons and sell them. The government will pay for cocoons that are grown. | |
