Wide shot panning on mining area - a sort of chaotic landscape w/ houses and shacks scattered here and there mingling w/ haphazard railroad tracks and mine buildings, rocks littering the ground and a huge pile of some stuff in BG. Shots of workers using power drills inside the mine. CU power drill jumping in and out of rock. Miner emerging from cave/tunnel, w/ bunch of rocks all over the ground. LS 2 men stand in tunnel pointing up at silver veins above them. MCU man reaches up w/ hammer to the silver. MLS worker scooping ore from opening of chute into a car, pushes it away ( it is on a track). Small electric train pulling a line of these ore-filled cars through tunnel. Worker pushing one of the carts into elevator just big enough to hold it; the elevator then rises. Bucket full of ore moving away via cable; it swings out the door. Shot from outside as it emerges from doorway of shed Shot looking up at the buckets moving back and forth on 2 sets of aerial cables high above. Interior shot: the bucket on cable comes into the mill; a worker grabs it to stop it and dumps it. Workers sit beside a conveyor belt w/ chunks of ore moving past; they grab off the best stuff. CU man holding big chunk of rich ore. Next, smelting: liquid ore being poured from a can on a pole into rectangular molds. Later, a worker turns a lever to dump out the blocks from the molds - like dumping out ice cubes. Another worker pulling a cart stacked w/ these silver blocks. | |
