The day started out peacefully enough with a traditional graduation day parade, the procession bachelors. Then student hot heads flare up and the police tried to restore order with psychology and persuasion but things quickly get out of hand. New inscription laws, the calling up of more and more classes of reservist for the Algerian service are the sparks of contention igniting 3000 volatile undergraduates. Establishing shots Throngs of student’s demonstration sitting down in the streets of Paris. MS - Busses moving by and the student’s pound on them. MS - Pushing and shoving by the police and the students. LS - The police beating the students with their capes. MS - Some of the students and police fall on to the ground.
