| Description: | Annual weighing and measuring of the snakes at the Bronx Zoo. Pythons 30 feet long, weighing 400 pounds are stretched out then put in steel garbage cans to go on the scale. A group of snake handlers struggle to collect a 30-foot snake. Carrying the snake into a weighing area, it twists and turns as it is lowered into a trash can. Workers encircle the can as it is weighed. After weighing, the snake is dumped back into its cage. | |
