| Description: | SPECIAL - ZOO A tour around St Louis Zoo shows us animals in natural-looking surroundings. St Louis, Missouri, United States of America. A complete tour around the St Louis Zoo shows us numerous animals in surroundings as close to their natural habitat as possible. We see giraffes, goats, buffalo, antelopes, llamas, (some are very woolly), cute springer antelopes bouncing about, brown bears being thrown food, two zebras fighting and a baby zebra with mother. We then see a lengthy sequence showing performing chimpanzees in jump-suits climbing over the bars of their cage, riding a unicycle and jumping about on pogo sticks. One chimp jumps onto a springboard so that another does a back somersault. C/Us of chimps. Several shots of them swinging about on swings and rings hanging from the top of their cage. The St. Louis Zoo was one of the first to try to recreate a natural habitat for the animals. Before this all animals were viewed through the bars of a cage. | |
