Parcels travel on conveyor belt to sorting office. Parcels slide from conveyor belt down a ten-foot sharply angled piece of metal to sorters. Long line of men in ties and jackets taking parcels, looking for their destination, and tossing them into the appropriate metal opening. The names of locations stenciled above each aperture can just be made out. Several shots of the parcels travelling in separate directions until they drop into large wicker baskets which are further sorted for towns. Big warehouse with men looking at parcels, then throwiing them ten or fifteen feet into different baskets. Hopefully, none are too fragile. After this, parcels are loaded into Royal Mail vans and transported to the station. | |
