| Description: | SPORTITES Dog competition with races and jumps - seems to be a rather informal event. Haslemere, Surrey, England MLS 3 girls sit on ground in park, petting dogs. MS girl with 3 basset hounds. Shot from finish of dog pen race; girl in FG gives signal and dogs are released from far end of a double dog run. Dandie Dinmont and a German shepherd race along jumping over barriers which are of different heights according to the sizes of the dogs. The race looks to be pretty much a tie. Next, 2 small dogs race in the runs. MLS row of old ladies serving as judges. Next, dogs racing on the flat - incl. Dandie Dinmont, Akita, etc. Another flat race has 3 large dogs and a Scottie! Dogs going over water jumps which are set according to each dog's size. Cocker spaniel clears jump. Large hound runs around side by mistake. Bigger spaniel jumps. Scottie walks up, looks over jump at water, and says "forget it!". | |
