| Description: | Sports: Rides To Death Over Niagara Falls. Attempt by daredevil Red Hill to ride the falls in his homemade 'barrel' made of 14 inner tubes lashed together with canvas, ends in tragedy. Rescuers find the tubes but Hill disappears. Red poses with his "barrel" and his dog before the attempt. Spectators watch eagerly. Hill climbs in and his little cocoon-like craft is pulled out onto the water. Est. shot Niagara Falls. Staged CU woman covering her mouth, feigning shock. VS the remains of his "barrel." His "grief-stricken" brothers (VO says they plan to carry on and conquer the falls!). Dumb, stupid, unwise stunt. | |
