| Description: | GAZETTE "Clapham, London. Spreading a little happiness! Churls - indeed - are those whose hearts do not thrill to this happy picture of Xmastide at Dr. Barnardos Boys' Home." Clapham, London. (Over the title card we hear boys of the Home singing a Christmas carol.) A boys' bagpipe and drum band in full Scottish kit march towards the camera - they are lead by a cook carrying a Christmas Pudding. As the band comes round the corner a large group of boys from the Dr. Barnardos home come rushing out - cheering. Behind the band is a small trolley on which stands Father Christmas / Santa Claus. The boys are all gathered around him - they are all wearing their Boy Scouts' uniforms. Santa is handing out presents to the crowd of cheering boys. The boys form up next to Santa and sing 'Here we come a wassailing'. Some of the younger boys are wearing Cub Scout uniforms. | |
