| Description: | St. Pius X Fulfills Vow St. Pius the tenth fulfills a vow made 56 years ago, on the eve of his becoming pope, to return to his beloved city of Venice. Pope John XXIII and 20 cardinals follow the crystal casket of the sainted pope to a special train to carry him away. The pope and other clergy gather and pray around fancy casket. Engraving says "PIVS. PP. X". The dead pope's face and hand (seen through glass of casket), apparently covered with metal, like a statue. Unusual. | |
