| Description: | "Stepping into space." Pathe Gazette presents the most nerve tingling pictures yet obtained in the air. M/S of a man sat on the top of an airplane, two people stand on the wings at either side and wave. The airplane taxis across the field. M/S as it takes off. M/S of two airplanes in the air. Two men release their parachutes and jump off, one is filmed from the airplane itself. 'How would you feel? (Slow motion shows just how intrepid airmen are snatched into "3000 feet of emptiness!")' Slow motion M/S as they are pulled off the airplane when their parachutes start to open. M/S of one parachute, the man attached to it is hanging upside down, he maneuvers himself the right way up again. 'Pathe Gazette - by its unique camera, presents "stop" pictures for the first time in any news film.' Slow motion M/S of a parachute starting to unravel, the camera stops on this shot. It continues until the man is just about to be pulled off the wing then stops again, this is repeated and he leaves the airplane. L/S of the parachute beginning to unravel, the camera stops. M/S of the airman just after he has been pulled off, the camera stops again at this point then starts to show him flying off after the parachute. | |
