| Description: | The manufacturing of Stewart mobile homes, for Stewart Gardener, per Earl Sample, Adv. fade in on Stewart trailer passing camera. Titles and credits. Dissolve to an office as a couple comes through the ddor and talks to the dealer at his desk. ECU of the woman and ECU of the man questioning the dealer. Three-shot as the questioning continues. Cut to a CU of the dealer at his desk as he describes the unit and invites them to the factory where a guide will show them around. Dissolve to an aerial shot of the factory. Dissolve to grounf\d views of the plant's office. The couple is guided through the plant. Frame construction; welding; the complete frame is moved and the floor is bolted to the frame. Insulation is added betwen the beams. Nailing supports. Spun glass put into place. Vapor seal paper covers the floor. Big jig table is used for sidewall manufacture. Toe-nailing versus mortise joint. Demonstartion of sound construction by mortise joints as men jump on the side rails. Insulation is added. Vapor seal paper covers the wall. Inside birch wood panelling checked. Roof construction, tapered for drainage. Vapor seal paper added. Roof is turned over. Plywood panels applied. Roof is turned over again. Spun glass insulation added to topside. Dark insulation board appiled. Heavy gauge galvanized steel put on top. Joints and laps are secured with rubberized tape. The metal is trimmed. Lap joints in the middle are screwed at 2' intervals. Couple passes sidewall in construction. Corner laps, die formed, and added. In paint shop the paint is sprayed. Jalouise windows shown. LS of the completed coach. Kitchen interior. Living room, exterior view again. Dissolve to the group watching 50 employees on top of the coach to illustatratethe strength of the unit. The tourists react. Water poured on flat roof stays but the Stewart coach is showered with high pressure water and sheds it. Couple reacts. Unit is pulld out and onto the road. Return to office. Three shot. CU of the wife. CU of the dealer. CU of her again. Three shot. CU of her. Dealer hand out papers. | |
