| Description: | Storms Lash West: Toll Mounts In Wake Of Gale The worst Autumn storm to hit the west coast in 50 years rips a path 1,000 miles long and 125 miles wide from California to British Columbia. Six inches of rain fell in three days and 46 persons die in the storm. Rain keeps coming down as children play in a flooded main street and a man carries a women across the water (looks like a policeman, or bus driver - uniform with hat.) Looks like a typical American small town, with several feet of water flooding the street. Parked car in flood water. Two boys trudge through flood water, carrying umbrella. A residential street is turned into a river and cars attempt to navigate the deep waters. Sewers backing up, water spewing up. Flood waters raging among residential streets. Two people trying to walk up driveway through raging flood waters. Rain water flowing down concrete stairs. Cars, traffic driving through flooded streets. Candlestick Park, deserted. Rain tarp on field, pan stadium seats in rain. Flooded stadium seats. | |
