| Description: | BLACK MEN AND CRAZY OLD MAN 03:40:49:- MS of three musicians sitting beneath an overhang near a courtyard where many artists hang out. One of them is a crazy old bald man carrying a small conga. Cut to MS as the scary old man beats the drum while also playing a homemade harmonica. Oh yeah, he likes to slap his bald pate every so often as though it too were a drum. Occasionally he'll stop playing to yell something in Spanish. He's a frail fellow, wearing a Mr. T-like amount of African bead necklaces, and several huge hoop earrings in his left ear. 03:42:24:- MS's and CU's of a traditional Cuban folk/pop band playing in the courtyard. A guitarist, stand-up bassist and a percussionist/vocalist. The crazy old man occasionally gets involved, either yelling at them (which they shrug off), slapping his head and congo in rhythm, or chugging a beer. What a card, eh? Good MS of a young female dancing along, off to the side. NOTE: MORE OCCASIONAL V-HOLD PROBLEMS AS SOME IMAGES CROLL UNCONTROLLABLY DUE TO A POOR HI-8 TO BETA SP X-FER. FOR THE MOST PART, THOUGH, MOST OF THE MATERIAL HERE IS GOOD AND USEABLE. | |
