| Description: | STRENGTH Strong man act by Saxon Brown - various stunts including lying on a bed of nails MS Brown NOT being pulled apart by 2 workhorses. He stands in the middle w/ rope looped around each arm, while horses try to pull in opposite directions. LS same; this stunt is taking place in a stable yard; other horses in stalls at rt. - a small crowd gathered in BG. MLS Brown stands looking down at a "bed of nails" - the bed of nails is really c. 1' square and sits atop a crate. CU thing of nails. MLS Brown lies down w/ his back on the nails, his knees bent and his feet on the ground. Other man puts a board on top of him, and 3 other men carry a heavy anvil over and place it on top of the board. Men then take turns hitting the anvil w/ hammer and mallet. Finally Brown gets up again. CU his back w/ indentations in it - but the skin does not seem to be broken. Next, young Saxson is run over by a car. He lies down on the brick road, puts a folded blanket on his chest, then other men place 2 boards hinged together over the blanket. Automobile drives over him (at least the left wheels do). Brown stands up, no doubt saved by the considerable amount of fat on his middle. | |
