| Description: | Stricken Japan. All the nations of the world unite to relieve suffering of earthquake victims. Tokyo. The camera pans across the rubble of houses filmed from a travelling car, showing total devastation. We also see houses which are half demolished. Long series of traveling shots showing the aftermath, mostly piles of rubble with some building standing, but not undamaged. In these shots we see people walking, carts in transit, and people standing. 'Homeless.' Two people wander amongst three large pillars. 'The lucky ones! - Saved Europeans leave for home.' People crowd onto a truck and wave as it drives away. Various shots as a man walks up to a box attached to the wall which says 'Earthquakes in Japan', he puts some money in and others do the same. An elderly man walks up and puts some coins in. | |
