| Description: | The Sultan of Morocco Sidi Ben Arafa (Sidi Mohammed Ben Moulay Arafa aka Mohammed Ben Aarafa) drives through the streets of Marrakech to the private mosque at the palace to pray. The mosque is well guarded but anti French feelings stills runs high among certain nationalist groups. Bloodshed occurred in spite of precautions taken. A grenade exploded inside wounding the grand diseur and three others, including the Sultan. The Sultan driving down the streets of Marrakech in an open convertible. CUS - Muslims watch standing on the driven route as the Sultan goes to the masque to pray. MLS - A well guarded masque, soldiers sitting on their horses. CUS - A wounded grand diseur being led away to safety. CUS - The Sultans face covered in blood, he still manages a gesture of recognition to his people. | |
