| Description: | Tav Falco Unlabeled Reel #5 Surveillance video of a car and a pedestrian approaching it. Looks like it was shot several floors up in a building. Pedestrian is leaning over into the car. They drive away. Var. shots of other cars doing the same thing. Audio in at 03:26. Off camera voice descibes previous pictures and the current ones of cars parked in a parking lot. Mentions picket line which indicates that there is some kind of picketing going on but all we see are cars driving into and out of the driveway of this business. VO says something about paying utility bills and doesn't understand why these people picket by blocking the driveway rather than walking up and down the sidewalk "like they're supposed to." VO also apologizes for his shaky camera work explaining that this is his first time using this equipment. This is the second segment on the tape and starts about 16 minutes into it, after the construction worker footage (466,344) ends. This video-original footage is exemplary of the early open reel to reel prosumer equipment of the time it was shot: grainy, edgy, shaky, and less than stable. The footage is raw & gritty in the truest sense. Not necessarily professional, but artistic. | |
