Champery, Switzerland French intertitle roughly translated reads: "Switzerland, a curious manifestation of feminism. In this sweet mountain village women have completely adopted masculine dress and attitudes." They all wear dark colored trousers & shirts; though some of the shirts are clearly blouses, tailored for women's bodies; some wear vests or jackets. They haven't gone cut their hair short, but wear it pulled back w/ scarves. Opens w/ shot of women walking down a road through village; all wearing dark trousers and carrying walking sticks.. MLS 2 women pose standing in masculine posture, on rt. woman stands leaning on cane w/ one leg resting up on a rock or something; while on left a thin woman stands w/ hand in pocket. Women breaking up soil in garden plot. Next 2 women lead cows down the road; some others follow.
