Various shots of museum officials inspecting collection of artefacts, including paintings from Sung and Chien dynasties, scroll from Ming Dynasty, carved lacquer hammered vase with peony design, carved lacquer box with peony and floral design, carved lacquer eight petalled plate with flower and bird design, and bronze oil lamp nearly 2,000 years old. Officials bring out a case containing a white porcelain vase with blue flowers. Small piece of art treasure of the Ming Dynasty is examined, followed by series of scrolls and bronze treasures. Painting on scroll from Sung Dynasty carrying official seal, followed by CU of insignia at top right of painting. Painting and calligraphy also dating back from the Sung and Chien dynasty. Painting of ancient Chinese armies of the Ming Dynasty. Rare bronze bowl elaborately inscribed from the Ming Dynasty. Several examples of lacquer ware from the Ming Dynasty. Personal seal of the emperor of the Ming Dynasty is seen on this scroll. Examples of delicate artistry, rice bowls from the Ming Dynasty. An elaborate painting depicting ancient Chinese armies.

At the Provincial Museum in Taipei, collection is put on display where thousands of Chinese on Taiwan have an opportunity to review their cultural heritage. View of Museum as crowds enter. Interior shots. CU People looking at he exhibits. Views of exhibition hall.

Twenty three cases are packed with treasures for shipment to the USA CU Liang Shaoling (Liang Shao-Ling) who has worked on collection of Palace Museum for 35 years. Military trucks loaded with cases leave for dock side at Keelung Harbour, north of Taipei. Loading scenes at dockside, slings come aboard with individual cases, cases being lowered into hold of USS Bryce Canyon. Loading and close ups of ship. Mr. Ni Tse-liang, curator of the museum, waves as the ship leaves. USS Bryce Canyon sails from Keelung.
