| Description: | TAKING A CHANCE New life-saving suit for ship's passengers. Odense, Denmark MLS man and woman hurry along deck of ship, each carrying a case that says "SOS." They set down the cases, take out big shapeless looking jumpsuits and quickly begin putting them on over their clothing. MCU the woman buttoning up high collar while man adjusts hood on his suit. He's a bit ahead of her (typical!) so he is first to put on the bizarre looking sort of sack that fits over the head and hangs down over chest & back w/ straps that attach to the pants. It has glass-covered eye-holes - no eyes are seen through these holes by the way. CU person in suit turns to show inflated thing sticking up in back like pillow. MCU man lifts up the mask part to show breathing tube stuck into his mouth. CU same MLS 5 people in the weird suits run to edge of deck. Shot from above looking down as the people in suits jump off ship; man in small rowboat nearby below. Another shot of people jumping; pan w/ them saw they land in water w/ big splashes. WS from alongside ocean liner "Leonardo da Vinci", as another group of jumpers come overboard. MS people in the life suits floating on their backs in water, hanging onto each other. Shot from higher above looking down at the floating martians. WS an down w/ person jumping off upper deck, landing in water and surfacing w/ arms raised. | |
