| Description: | Same as catalog # 192724 'Now meet another well-known Variety & Broadcasting Star - Tex McLeod. Assisted by Marjorie Tiller.' Probably filmed at Pathe Studio, London. Marjorie Miller sits at a table laid for tea for two surrounded by potted plants, resembling the lounge of a hotel. Tex McLeod enters. They greet each other and chat. She offers him tea and he replies that he always drinks tea while in England as "I've tasted your coffee". They talk of the old days when they played the theatres and decide to rehearse "the old act again". Tex produces a lasso and begins to spin it. Marjorie attempts to jump through it but fails. As he spins the rope again, they perform crosstalk act. They make various jokes about Scotsmen's meanness, her singing voice, taking coals to Newcastle etc. After a while they "try the stunt again". They both hop and skip in and out of the rope as Tex spins it. Marjorie does a little curtsey at the end. | |
