| Description: | THAT DEVIL LIONEL Stuntsman "Lionel le Diable" performs feats of balance on top of a swaying pole 80 ft. above the ground, while dressed in a devil costume. France WS man climbing a tall pole between 2 towers. There are cables attached to the pole & to the ground on either side. Shot showing the top half of the pole, the top section of pole is narrower & more flexible. The man is somehow balancing on the top while the pole sways back and forth, then around in a circle. LS same. Now close enough for a good view of Lionel balancing on the pole as it bends around. He's wearing a devil costume, tights and a long-sleeved knit shirt, & a close fitting hood with little devil horns! POV from pole looking down at a view careening from side to side. People standing below, tables of outdoor cafe, etc. LS Lionel stands on his head on the wobbly pole. WS same; then he climbs down the wobbly top section (on the way he does an extra trick - hanging onto pole while holding his body out away from it). There are some chairs, boxes, etc. at the place where the narrower pole is attached, maybe on a tiny platform. Lionnel grabs one of these chairs, sets it up on something. LS he stands on the chair, with one foot on the seat and one foot on the back, and intentionally jiggles the chair to make it balance on 2 legs and actually this may be on top of bottles or something. WS of Lionnel doing tricks on chair. Wider shot: Lionnel climbs down the pole. Here one can see that there's an orchestra playing on a low roof beside the pole. MCU Lionnel back on the ground, in front of a sign (in French) advertising the exploits of Lionnel Le Diable Hardi. Man's hands reach into frame to help him into a robe over his devil costume. | |
