Description:THE ADVENTURES OF "PONGO THE PUP" - PONGO ARRIVES Pongo accidentally gets a role in a movie.

An aeroplane in the sky writes the word Pongo in large letters. We see reaction shots from members of the public who look up into the sky. A man who is filming a young boy looks up at the skywriting through a telescope at the same time. The aeroplane drops a large box from the sky. It crashes on the ground and Pongo jumps out bowing, pirouetting and looking very pleased with himself. A policeman comes along and says "Where's your Collar?" Pongo distracts his attention by pointing at something non-existent, then walks off. Pongo runs off with the policeman in hot pursuit. Pongo arrives at a banana stall - notice on the bananas says: "No - We Have Some" - presumably a reference to the song. Pongo picks up some bananas and juggles with them. He throws one of the bananas and the policeman slips on the skin. Pongo has a good laugh and runs off. The policeman blows his whistle. He suddenly realises that he has been blowing on a banana - not a whistle. He finds his real whistle and blows it. The facade of the Pathe building at 107 - 109 Wardour Street is shown. Pongo runs inside, scaring a cat. Pongo spots the Developing Room and thinking it is a room where he can develop his muscles he goes inside, shutting his tail in the door by accident. Pongo is inside the Developing Room. There is a sign which reads: "No Betting or Passing Slips." His tail is stuck in the door and his body stretches as he tries to pull it free. He goes through all sorts of contortions to get his tail free. He imagines that he hears someone coming so he jumps into a vat of liquid. He then pops in and out yelling "Help!" A man comes in a pulls something out of the vat. It is a length of movie film, the first frame saying: "Ye mossy banks of Wigan." We then see Pongo sitting in a small pool of water. The man looks very surprised to see Pongo on the film. He looks scared and crawls out of the door. We then see Pongo inside a drawn frame of film - we see the perforations down the side - swimming in a dried up river. He gets up and walks to the edge of the frame looking over it. Then he and a little bird on a branch above his head jump up and down excitedly. Pongo says: "Hooray! I'm on the Films!" He runs off into the distance, kicking the walls off a house to reveal two people in bed. The bird accidentally lays an egg in her excitement and it smashes. C/U of the old man and woman in bed. The woman is very angry to have been woken up and nags her husband who gives the camera the "long-suffering" look. She slaps her husband, then shakes him yelling: "Don't You Argue With Me!" (he hasn't said a thing.) We see Pongo still jumping up and down and running around. End shot is a circular picture of Pongo with the words: "See You Again Next Week" inside it.
