Description:THE ADVENTURES OF "PONGO THE PUP" - PONGO CLEANS UP THE GOAT FAMILY Pongo wants to get strong so he can cope w/ the goats living & fighting in the Home of Rest for Goats. ANIMATED, animation, cartoon.

Pongo walks along a road wearing a boxing glove - he looks very determined. He stops and puts a telescope up to his eye. His eyeball moves around as seen through the telescope. He looks to his left then towards the audience then to the right. He jumps up with surprise upon seeing something. Point of view shot with the telescope framing of a building with the inscription: "Home of Rest for Goats." The home is bouncing up and down and the roof is lifting off - presumably a fight is going on inside. Pongo puts the telescope in his pocket and runs off down the road in the opposite direction. He arrives at a doorway with the sign: "I. Sloggs. Ex-Heavy-weight Champion" above the door - there is also a sign about boxing lessons. He sits down on the pavement tapping his foot and thinking until he suddenly notices the signs. He dives into a drain as Mr Sloggs suddenly emerges. He is wearing a checked cap and a large jumper and is smoking a cigar. He pulls the cap over his eyes, pulls up his trousers then walks around the corner. Pongo emerges from the drain and goes inside. Pongo is skipping rope. Beside him is a punch ball, a picture of a muscle man and a heavy weight. He skips for a while then juggles with some batons until one hits him on the head. He flexes his muscles looking at the picture of the body builder whose name is Slamdow. He walks forwards and whistles. He then says: "Hi, Mr Artist! you drew that, so what are you going to do about it?" The real hand of the artist comes in and makes the bodybuilder look more puny by blackening the underneath part of his arms. Pongo flexes his muscles and looks a bit happier. He picks up a book from the floor. C/U of Pongo inside a circular mask. He looks intently at the book. It is: "The Hypnotic Eye". His eyes roll around in their sockets as he reads. Pongo throws the book down then magically moves it around in the air by waving his arms in a hypnotic manner. The book floats out of the door and Pongo looks surprised that his hypnotism works. He hypnotises the body building man on the poster to do a dance. This dance includes ballet style turns. The poster eventually falls on the floor and Pongo laughs. He then hypnotises the punch ball which wiggles its stand and then develops facial features. The punch ball laughs too. The punch ball then ties its own stand in a knot and blows a raspberry at Pongo. Pongo hypnotises the punch ball into bending right over to touch the ground. It then suddenly springs back up and hits Pongo on the head. He rubs his head and sticks his tongue out. He walks around thinking for a while (there is a question mark above his head.) The hand of the artist comes in and gives him a piece of paper. He pins it up on the wall. It reads: "Wanted - Sparring Partner - Lady Preferred." He does the "thumbs up" gesture. Does a bit more thinking then nods his head before producing a powder puff and powdering his nose. He suddenly sneezes and his nose drops off. He looks surprised. It flies up in the air and then bounces on the floor and back onto his face. He falls over, bumps his head and sees stars. He daydreams about a beautiful female sparring partner. A very large washerwoman type walks through the door asking: "Am I Too Late? Pongo looks scared and runs off shouting: "Yes - About Forty Years!" He runs off down the road and arrives outside the Home of Rest for Goats. He takes his jacket off and lifts the building up with his bare hands - he shakes it up and down. He digs a hole then tunnels under the building. The building jumps up and down as stars and cries of "Mercy" emerge from the building (presumably Pongo is fighting with some goats!) Inside the Rest Home we see Pongo whizzing around in a circle holding a goat by the legs. He lets go and it flies into the air. All around him are battered and bashed goats lying on the floor with black eyes and their tongues hanging out. Pongo adds another line to a piece of paper which presumably is the number of goats he has beaten up. He bows to the camera then falls over backwards. The story ends.
