| Description: | THE BEAD MAKERS Making paper beads. Mother and daughter have fun making paper beads for necklaces, lamp shade trimming and curtain. United Kingdom MS woman and girl c. age 12-14 (mother and daughter?) stand behind table; girl is turning handle of something on the table. MCU woman's hands picking up pieces of paper, cutting out part of a poster or advert, folding this piece and cutting it into slanting strips. MCU 5 uneven strips lying in row on table. MCU girl winding paper around "bead winder" - a metal bar with handle attached, mounted between 2 posts. She starts strip of paper around the bar, long end first, and turns handle wrapping the rest of the strip around. When it's all wrapped she quickly dabs some glue on it then removes it from the bar- -presto! it's a sort of long elliptical bead. MCU beads of various shapes and sizes set out in a row; girl's hand reaches in and picks up a few, pointing them out to camera. MCU side view girl stringing the paper beads, holding up string of beads- -a necklace? MCU side view: girl stands beside lamp touching the long beads hanging around the edge of the lampshade. Next, beaded curtain hanging in FG; girl walks toward it from behind and flings the beads apart, grinning at camera, then lets them fall again.
