| Description: | THE CAUSEWAY OF THE GIANTS A look at the Giant's Causeway on the coast of Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland. Various shots of the Giant's Causeway on the coast of Northern Ireland. A man clambers around and points out the only rock there with 8 sides, known as the Keystone. The man sits in the 'Wishing Chair' on the rocks; the story goes that you make three wishes there and they'll all come true within the year. The man then drinks some water from the wishing well, that never dries up and never freezes. With a woman he looks out at some pinnacles across the bay, known as Giant's Chimneys. Commentator says that the legend is that the causeway was built by an Irish giant, when trying to get across to Scotland to fight his rival. It is probably really formed by volcanic action. | |
