It can produce numerous effects and is heard through the medium of a loud speaker - an early synthesiser. "It is possible to simulate the tone of many instruments (apart from the normal piano) such as the organ, spinet, saxophone, music-box, the left pedal controlling the volume and duration of the note - and the right pedal acting normaly."
