Horse racing at Epsom, Surrey "Fully restored train service - innumerable char-a-bancs, motors, coaches in fact anything on - wheels, brought huge crowds to the famous downs." L/S of large traffic jams near the race course there are are many cars and opened top buses in the jam. People trying to park their cars (car park, parking lot) The camera pans left to reveal the large crowds within the the race ground. "The King Arrives" L/S of the King George V's carriage arriving, Queen Mary is sat next to him. The horse drawn carriage passes through the crowd. "The Parade" Various shots of the horses and jockeys on parade before the race. Numerous shots of the horse confusingly lining up at the starting post. Nice shot of the jockey uniform (silks). One horse jumps the gun and goes through the tape before it is lifted. The tape is eventually lifted and the race begins. "A specially designed camera was made to enable you to see - for the first time - how they really race around the famous Tattenham Corner." L/S of the horses racing around Tattenham Corner and up to the finish line. "The Finish" LS of the crowd. Pan to the track. L/S of the horse passing the finishing post. The winner is "Captain Cuttle". "Now see how easily Captain Cuttle won" Good slow motion M/S's of Captain Cuttle approaching the finish line.
